Introductory Workshop to Shibori and Indigo Dyeing

Secure your place at the Introductory Workshop to Shibori & Indigo Dyeing at Waimea Yoga on November 16th from 12-3pm!

I’m hosting this workshop to introduce participants to Shibori and indigo dyeing. This workshop includes materials to dye, the dye baths, instructions, and several tools to experiment with Shibori techniques. I will talk briefly of the history of Shibori, a bit about the indigo plant, and then we’ll jump into folding and dyeing! Participants will get to take home:

  • 1 ‘Intro to the Art of Shibori‘ zine

  • 1 cotton tote bag

  • 2 cotton pillowcases

  • 2 cotton bar towels

If there is time and the dye bath is still going strong, I am happy to help participants dye a couple of personal items, too!

*This workshop cannot accommodate children under 16 years old.
